Today is 36 weeks, and that means that if the baby comes now it won't be considered pre-term! Babies are officially "full term" at 37 weeks, but anytime between now and next Tuesday is still considered safe because the baby can breathe and eat on his/her own and will likely not have to stay in NICU.
So that's one "high risk" label I get to remove! Now I just have two remaining high risk markers: gestational diabetes and my favorite, advanced maternal age. I guess it's better to be advanced than rudimentary? I'm in the AP maternal class!
